Enforcing Strong Password Policies

Did you know?: 96% of the most common passwords can be cracked by hacking tools in less than one second.

What are Password Policies and Why are they Important?

Password policies refer to the set of rules determined by an organization for a user’s password, such as length and complexity. Password policies are important because one weak password can serve almost as a wide open door into an organization. Thus, it’s critical to enforce appropriate policies to help ensure your users aren’t using weak passwords. Remember, you’re only as strong as your weakest link.
